이제 작년인 2022년 12월,
호주에서 전혀 가망성이 없었던 189 비자에 대한 인비테이션을 갑자기 비를 내리듯 뿌렸다.
솔직히 가망성 없던 비자라 생각하고 있다가 갑자기 영주권 인비테이션을 받게 되어서
지역이동을 했었던 나와 남자친구는 다시 대도시로 이사를 갈 수 있게 되었다!
189 비자 EOI를 넣어놓은 상태로 우리는 캔버라에서 491 비자를 넣고 브릿징 상태로 있었는데 아직 브릿징인 상태였어서
189비자로 갈아탈 수 있었다!
너무나 여러종류의 비자가 있으나 그중 우리가 받은 '독립기술이민' 인 189 비자에 대해 알아보려한다!
'독립기술이민' 자칭 189 VISA
한마디로 기술을 가지고 있고 그에 맞는 학력을 가지고 있는 사람들이 넣을 수 있는 비자.(비자이지만 영주권입니다!)
- have an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list
- have a suitable skills assessment for the occupation
- be invited to apply for this visa
- satisfy the points test
아주 간단히 Australia home affair에서 쓰여진 리스트를 보면,
- SKILLED OCCUPATION LIST와 관련한 직종을 가진자
- 직종에 대한 SKILL ASSESSMENT를 한 자 (SKILL ASSESSMENT는 나중에 자세하게 포스팅을 하기로!)
- 189 비자의 인비테이션을 받은자
- 포인트에서 만족한자
여기서 중요한건 이 비자는 포인트제 시스템이라 정부 홈페이지에서 내가 해당되는 포인트를 합산해 미니멈을 넘어서면
바로 신청할 수 있다!
여기서 첫번째로 볼것은 내가 SKILLED OCCUPATION LIST에 들어간 직종인가를 먼저 봐야하고
두번째로 내 직종과 관련해 내가 쌓아온 포인트가 얼만지 확인하는것!!
나의 경우, 요리사로서 SKILLED OCCUPATION LIST에 내 직종이 있었기 때문에 가능했다!
직종을 확인하고 싶다면 Skilled occupation list (homeaffairs.gov.au) 이곳에서 확인이 가능하다!
다음은 포인트를 계산하는 방법을 알아보자!
포인트는 나이,영어점수, 학위, 경력 그리고 가족이 있는지의 여부에 따라 점수가 달라진다.

나이점수로는 어려도 깎이고 많아도 깎인다.. 호주가 봤을때 본인이 일을 하고 자신의 모든것에 책임을 질 수 있는 나이인
'25세 - 33세' 가 가장 점수가 높다.
English language skills

영어점수는 IELTS 기준, 이치 6.0은 Competent english level에 들어가는데 점수를 주지 않는다... 그래서 점수를 얻고 싶다면, 무조건 이치 7은 받아야한다.
이치 7부터는 10, 그리고 이치 8은 20 이다. 문제는 이게 오버롤 점수가 아니고 'EACH'....

사이트에 보면 호주외 다른나라 경력과 호주에서의 경력이 나뉘어서 점수가 배포되어 있는데 이건 자신이 한국에서 경력이 인정될 수 있는 (서류화해서 증거로 제출할수 있다면) 가능하다.
나는 호주에서의 경력밖에 없었기 때문에 패스.
호주경력은 적어도 학교를 들어가고 나서부터 졸업하고 졸업비자를 쓰는 와중에 이 영주권 비자를 신청할테니 아마
적어도 3년의 경력은 있을것!(풀타임 기준) 대략 5에서 10점을 얻을 수 있다!

그다음으로 교육수준에 따라 점수가 나뉘어진다.
박사- 20점
학사-15점
디플로마-10점
자격증이 내 직종과 관련되어 있다면- 10점
(이 자격증에 관련해서는 홈페이지에 더 자세히 나와있으니 홈페이지를 참고!)
나는 한국에서 학사를 나왔기 때문에 학사 점수로 15점을 받았다. 물론 요리학은 아니었지만 전공과 상관없이 교육수준을 보는거라 내가 졸업한 가장 높은 레벨을 고르면 된다!
Specialist education qualification

호주에서 호주학교 마스터 과정을 배웠다면 10점이 추가되는데 요리사에겐 마스터과정이 없기에.. 패스

호주에서 공부를 했느냐 안했느냐의 질문. 무조건 요리학교 나오니 이건 5점을 먹고들어간다.

시드니, 멜번, 브리즈번같은 대도시가 아닌 지역에서 공부를 한 사람들은 추가로 5점을 얻게된다.

같이 지원하는 파트너( 부부) 라면, 상대의 나이가 45세 미만, IELTS 이치 6.0, SKILLED OCCUPATION LIST에 들어가있는
직종에서 일하는, 그리고 SKILL ASSESSMENT를 끝낸 사람이라면
추가로 10점을 얻게 된다.
근데 여기서 중요한건

이기 때문에
직종이 리스트에 없거나 스킬 어세스먼트를 안해도 영어점수가 있다면 - 5점
파트너가 없거나 (싱글) 파트너가 호주애거나 영주권자면 - 10점 이다
189독립기술이민 비자는
다 합해서 65점 이상이 된다면 EOI 를 넣고 무작정 기다리기만 하면된다.
호주내에서 189 비자가 희망이 없다고 얘기했었던 것은 INVITATION 자체를 안내줬기 때문..
점수를 넣고 기다리다가 INVITATION을 못받고 떠나는 사람도 있기 때문이다.
버틸수 있는 긴 비자가 있거나, 189 비자로 바로 영주권을 도전하고 싶다면 나쁘지 않은 선택인것 같다!
